I am really excited to see what will happen with Seth Jones in Portland, A great franchise just getting better with the addition of Jones on the blueline, A combination of size and skill on the blueline, he can play any role on a team. This addition to the Winterhawks will make Jones and the Winterhawks a favorite in the WHL this season, and makes him an easy #1 spot for my list.

I have Lazar ranked higher because I am extremely high on this kid, brings so much to the game. His game is definitely suited for the next level, and you can bet that he will be an impact player in the NHL someday. A hard worker who has a scoring touch and a bit of a mean streak, and a nasty left hook. Quote:
3) hunter shinkaruk - medicine hat tigers (whl) - lw - 5'10 - 165 lbs - october 9, 1994 games watched: 1
hunter shinkaruk is a goal scoring machine, this kid is an offensive threat at every level. One of the purest goal scorers in the league, and will look to redeem himself this season without linemate emerson etem.

this is the beginning of the downfall for the whl, but don't count josh morrissey out. A great puck mover who can also hit like a truck, watch morrissey fly under the radar and make the first round in this year's draft.

a pest that can shutdown oppoisition's top lines, think a steve ott or a brandon leipsic in that regard, needs size, can contribute offensively, tied for 3rd in points by forwards in this year's draft with 39. Ahead of him were rankin, shinkaruk and the name below me.

a bit of an underdog in a regard, as this year's royals defense was atrocious, if pilton gets better and much more consistent, he could be a sleeper and a project for a hockey club at this year's draft. A player with great size and offensive potential.

a highly anticipated kid, kanzig has lived up to his potential defensively, but offensively there is nothing to prove. Two assists throughout the entire season, this kid is huge, but he needs to stop playing so defensive. He isn't a risk taker, which is a good thing, but size isn't everything. A premier shutdown defenseman if he pans out.

a boston college recruit, the smaller richardson can skate like the wind, the best skater i've seen in a while. He's willing to into the dirty areas and bang in rebounds, a good shot and excellent playmaking ability, almost a point-per-game player in the bchl. A very smart kid as well, bright future ahead of him in either hockey or schooling.
